A trawler at the Noble House Seafoods wharf at Eccles, East Bank Demerara caught afire yesterday afternoon.

The extent of damage suffered or the cause of the blaze was not clear and while employees confirmed that there had been a blaze on a boat they could not say much more and this newspaper was not allowed to enter the compound. Efforts to make telephone contact with officials of the company yesterday were futile.
