I have being living in Cornelia Ida Block ‘N’ new housing scheme − a residential area − for over 10 years. The new scheme is a reserve for sugar workers although it also accommodates non-sugar workers. The community has evolved from one of order to one of complete confusion. Almost every day some of us villagers are dosed with the pungent smell of spray paint which emerges from a ‘workshop’ in the scheme. I for one am affected and am constantly plagued with headaches. The village has a lot of small children, and if the effect on me consists of headaches, one could only wonder about the small children.
This torture arises at any time of the day. I would like to know if it’s legal to have a workshop in a residential area. We need some help urgently.
Yours faithfully,
