Live From Abbey Road, a 12-part one-hour performance series/documentary filmed at Abbey Road Studios in London has returned for its second season on DIRECTV, and is available on Sony Entertainment Television, Channel 210 in the basic package.
The programme, which began last Saturday and continues every Saturday at 7 pm, follows an iconic band, a first-class singer/songwriter and an outstanding contemporary performance each week, while they explore their art in Abbey Road studios. Each recording session is intertwined with an interview with the artists, by which the viewers get the chance to see why this ordinary North-London, 19th-century building has become the favourite workplace to some music legends: The Beatles (whose 1969 album, ‘Abbey Road’, pays tribute to the street where the famous studio is located), Radiohead, U2, Pink Floyd and Coldplay have all recorded there.
Season 2 features:
Mary J. Blige, Dashboard Confessional and James Blunt
Rascal Flatts, Kate Nash and Herbie Hancock
Panic at the Disco, David Gray and Suzanne Vega
