Dear Editor,
Guyana seems to be withstanding the economic downturn quite well. It seems that this is her chance to rise from the ashes rapidly and strike while the iron is hot, because it is not as leveraged as other countries.
One way would be to open the channels to the outside world to bring those opportunities in.
Now that the country is being linked with the bridges one of things that needs to be looked into is the Lethem road.
Also the link to the outside world via Ogle needs to be made a national concern as well as the link to Suriname with both countries looking into the possibility of a bridge.
This is the time like no other. It is time for Guyana to say ‘bye bye’ to the other Caribbean countries as we prepare to overtake them in development.
