Police yesterday arrested a man, heading to Trinidad with more than two kilograms of cocaine in his luggage at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Timehri.
In a statement, the police said that at about 12:50 pm yesterday, a Guyanese man, who was an outgoing passenger aboard a flight bound for Trinidad, was arrested by ranks of the police Narcotics Branch aafter 2kgs 500 grams of cocaine were found concealed in his suitcase.
He is in police custody assisting with the investigations, the statement said.
