The bridge north of Kaikan Street leading into Lamaha Springs, which is also known as the Joint Services Scheme, is to be completely rehabilitated by the Demerara Harbour Bridge Corporation over three days, commencing tomorrow.
According to a press release from the corporation, on May 1, 2 and 3 vehicular traffic will not be permitted but an alternative access can be utilized through Essequibo Street.
In the meantime, pedestrians can still access the crossing by means of a temporary footpath that has been constructed.
The corporation also expressed thanks to all commuters whose cooperation will facilitate the successful completion of this operation.
