The day began with a ceremonial kick off from the tournament sponsor which was taken at midfield by Western Union’s Marketing Executive Nateaah King.

When the real action got underway, Riddim Squad needled Kitty Rangers while Huston Stars claimed their first three points of the tourney via the walkover route after the University of Guyana failed to show up.

The bigger, stronger, faster players from Riddim Squad, though they were controlling ball possession,  were unable to finish many plays.

After a goal-less first half, Riddim Squad pressed into their opposition’s goal mouth and Julian Forris found an opening in the 50th minute and made a successful conversion.
