It seems that Guyana will be competing head to head with global beauties in the Bahamas at the 2009 Miss Universe Pageant in August. It’s good to know that sacrifices are being made to keep sending beauty ambassadors.
I believe an important aspect for the beauty ambassador selected is that she should be very articulate when making her presentation, and have knowledge of current affairs. The Toastmasters Club in Guyana is an ideal group to approach for guidance, and a representative could also be considered for a post as a judge on the night of the competition.
To the potential representative, read the dailies and keep looking at media broadcasts both local and international. Having a communications degree doesn’t mean that you are articulate.
