Reece captured silver and two bronze medals at the meet in the twin-island republic.
Reece, who attends the Vryman’s Erven High School, told Stabroek Sport yesterday that he appreciated the gesture by Roberts very much.

Reece, who is expected to return to Trinidad to participate in the Junior Caribbean Gold Cup championships scheduled for early August said he was looking forward to the support of the business community.

He thanked the headmaster and teachers of his school for their support and also lavished praise on the coach of the Flying Ace Cycle Club Randolph Roberts for his unstinting dedication which he said had resulted in him becoming a better cyclist.

Reece added that he would also like to thank A. Ally and Sons, Howard Lepps’ Trucking Service of Kwakwani, Waterchris Hotel, Kings Jewellery World and COPS and GEB Security Services for their financial support.
