Dear Editor,
The campaign against loud music in public transportation has lost its momentum, and the loudness (lewdness) is back. Some buses even have small high-powered speakers hanging in full view. This practice continues on the East Bank, East Coast, West Coast, and even on the Essequibo Coast. Our policemen seem not to notice. Also of concern is the speed at which these buses pass others on our roads. This happens everywhere. Guyana is indeed lawless because of weak authorities.
Yours faithfully,
M. S. Baksh
