The guardian of a 16-year-old girl who packed her bags and left her Sophia home last Wednesday is worried and is seeking help in locating her.
Margot Waithe said that her foster daughter, Carol Douglas, a student of the St Winifrede’s Secondary School, left home last week Wednesday. She said that she was wearing her school clothes consisting of a dark-blue skirt and light-blue top at the time. According to Waithe, before Douglas left, there was an issue and she had spoken to her about it.
She said that she then went to work and when she returned she was told that Douglas had not returned from school. Upon checking her room, it was noticed that her bags and clothes were missing. Waithe said she has heard nothing from Douglas since and reported the matter to the East La Penitence police station. She said that Douglas’s mother had been murdered while her father had drowned and she was looking after her.
Waithe said that anyone knowing Douglas’s whereabouts can contact her at 625-3201 and 651-8264. She said that she just wants to know that she is safe.
