West Indies Test batsmen Narsingh Deonarine and Sewnarine Chattergoon spurred Albion to victory in the Berbice Division One 50-overs competition over the weekend.
Deonarine smashed five fours and two sixes in an entertaining unbeaten 48 while fellow Chattergoon scored 30 to lead Albion to a comfortable seven-wicket victory over Skeldon.
Christopher Gaundoo stroked an even half-century for Skeldon to lift them to 131 all out off 40 overs, with Guyana left-arm spinner Veerasammy Permaul took grabbing four for 37.
Deonarine and Chattergoon then orchestrated Albion’s victory chase, with Imran Khan chipping in with a cameo 37, clobbering five fours and two sixes, as Albion reached 132 for three in 19.1 overs.
Guyana fast bowler Esuan Crandon also shone for Rose Hall Town Windies Sports Bar, grabbing five for 50 to earn his side a six-wicket win over Upper Corentyne.
