Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson on Tuesday granted a car washer $50,000 bail when he appeared in the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court to answer to a charge of simple larceny.
Carl ‘Fat Boy’ Whyte, 46, of 14 Cross Street, Werk-en-Rust, is accused of stealing one swimming pool pump valued $250,000, the property of Mohamed Khan. The incident allegedly occurred at Georgetown between May 25 and 26.
Whyte was unrepresented in court and pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to him. He also declined to make a statement when given the opportunity.
Whyte was ordered to appear in Court Three on June 23.
