A vagrant, who reportedly entered a yard at the corner of Leopold and High streets, Werk-en-Rust, without the owner of the property’s permission, was severely bitten by a pit bull which was in the yard at the time.
The man, Mark Goodridge, of no fixed place of abode was rescued by a police patrol which was in the area.
When this newspaper visited the Georgetown Public Hospital yesterday afternoon, Goodridge was crying out in pain as he was being attended to by staff of the medical institution.
The man was bitten about several parts of his body including his hands and head but received the brunt of the attack on both legs. His condition was reported to be stable.
