A Parika businessman was robbed on Monday night at Zeeburg, West Coast Demerara by armed bandits, who escaped after the incident.
Looknauth Kawall of Parika, East Bank Essequibo was attacked at about 7:50 pm on Monday by the two men, who were armed with handguns.
Police said that investigations revealed that Kawall was making a delivery of cooking gas from his vehicle when he was confronted by the men who held him at gunpoint and took away $300,000 and a cell phone after which they escaped.
Investigations are continuing.
