A motorcyclist was killed yesterday afternoon when he slammed into a bus on the Public Road at Success, East Coast Demerara.
Roy Mapp of 93 Melanie Damishana, East Coast Demerara was pronounced dead on arrival at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
Stabroek News understands that the man was riding his motorcycle in an easterly direction along the road when he attempted to overtake a vehicle but instead crashed headlong into a 30-seater bus that was travelling in the opposite direction.
He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
