The 66-year-old US-based Guyanese went missing since June 12 following a visit to a family home in Buxton.
Jobronewet also known as Romie Johnston of California along with a number of relatives had travelled to Guyana to pay their final respects to their mother, Vivian Henrietta Brown also known as ‘Ne Ne’ and ‘Sister Henny’, who died in Canada and whose remains were flown to Guyana. She was laid to rest on Monday in her home village of Buxton.
Paulette Charles, at whose Goedverwagting home the man would have been staying, yesterday said that she has heard “no word” of her cousin but still hopes that he will be found soon.
“I attended church service like normal today,” Charles said. “I am trying to stay strong and I will not stop hoping…with a little help we will find him.”
Anyone knowing Jobronetwet’s whereabouts is asked to contact relatives on 222-2688 or the nearest police station.
