An 18-year-old is now hospitalised after being shot in the right hip on Sunday night by the man with whom she shares a relationship, a release from the police said yesterday.
According to a press release, the police are investigating the shooting which occurred around 22:00 hrs on Sunday at Jeep Landing, Kwakwani Water Front, during which Ann Louden, 18, of Lamp Island, Kwakwani, was shot in the right hip.
The release said that the young woman was shot during an argument she had with the man. At the time the man was armed with a firearm belonging to a security company to which he is attached.
Louden was admitted to the Kwakwani Hospital while the man has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
