The ninth Miss Jamzone pageant is slated for August 30 at the Splashmins Fun Park and promoter of the pageant Hits and Jams promises that the run up to it would be bigger and better with lovers of different types of music treated to some of the best in the Caribbean and elsewhere.
A release from the group recently said that in “keeping with a mandate to ensure that leisure lovers enjoy quality entertainment” it will host the ‘Jamzone Summer Break Weekend’ between August 27 and 30.
It is expected that that two concerts would be held over the weekend, one for dance hall and reggae lovers and the other for soca and chutney followers, and they are expected to feature the best artiste in Guyana, the Caribbean and elsewhere. The group said the artistes have already been secured and it would release the details at a later date.
The weekend will round off with the crowning of the ninth Miss Jamzone, preceded by a fun day and beach jam.
