Roy McCoy, who was injured in the motorcycle crash that killed two persons on the Essequibo Coast on Saturday is to be transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital today to undergo a head scan.
McCoy had sustained head injuries in the crash which killed 21-year-old Rudranauth Narayan called ‘Buffy’ of Johanna Cecelia and 36-year-old Mahendranauth Deonarine, a rice farmer of Lima Housing Scheme. A relative told this newspaper yesterday, that though it appears that McCoy has improved, he is still suffering from headaches. As such, a head scan was ordered and he will be travelling to the city today.
The other person injured in the accident, Parbattie Bisnauth remains in the open ward of the Suddie Hospital.
Late Saturday, reports said, Deonarine was overtaking a car, heading west, when he collided with the motorcycle that Narayan and McCoy were on.
They were heading in the opposite direction. They collided head-on on the La Belle Alliance public road. Deonarine reportedly died on the spot while Narayan was pronounced dead on arrival at the Suddie Hospital.
