The Quix Promotion 2009, Quix me Some Quix Cash, was launched by Bryden and Fernandes Inc on Tuesday at the Bounty Supermarket on Water Street.
This year’s promotion allows customers a chance to win over US$8,000 in cash and “fabulous” prizes. The promotion will run until September 16.
Brand Manager Mark Kendall stated that it is the ideal time to give back to customers in light of the economic crisis.
He explained how the game will be played. Starting on August 12 on VCT Channel 28 at 7.30 pm there will be a live draw of five names.
Selected persons will have to answer a question about Quix and if they can say the tongue twister “Quix washes dishes quicker” then they get a chance to play Quix Quick Cash for a chance to win US cash.
The Quix Quick Cash board, which is similar to the Plinko game from the Price is Right, requires contestants to select a number between one and five after which a Quix chip will be dropped from that number and the contestant will win the amount that is indicated at the bottom of the board. Every week the prizes increase.
Apart from the money, back to school hampers which include a backpack, exercise book and school kit will be given to ten additional winners in the third week.
The contest runs for ten weeks and 70 lucky persons get to be the winner of “fabulous prizes and back to school prizes”.
To enter the promotion, all customers have to do is place one Quix cap along with their name, address and telephone number in an envelope and drop it into entry boxes located in leading supermarkets and all Courts branches. Participants are advised to write their contact information on a clear piece of paper and not on coloured paper.
