BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, CMC – Captain Charlene Taitt is one of five West Indies players named in a strong Barbados squad for next month’s WICB Women’s Senior Cricket Championships in Guyana.
All-rounder Taitt will lead a 14-member unit to the mid-August tournament and four of her West Indies team-mates are also in the squad — Deandra Dottin, Pamela Lavine, Shakera Selman and Danielle Small.
All five players represented West Indies at the ICC World Twenty20 tournament in England last month.
The Barbadians, who won the West Indies women’s knockout title in 2006, have never won the League Championship. They were runners-up in 2007.
