(Jamaica Observer) – A Nigerian software engineer, who is accused of marrying three Jamaican women over a six-month period last year, was offered bail in the sum of $200,000 in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
Shadrach Momah, who is charged with polygamy was offered bail by Resident Magistrate Georgianna Fraser on condition that he reports to the Spanish Town Police Station daily between 6 am and 6 pm.
Momah was charged in March after members of the Fraud Squad and Immigration Department raided his office at Ripon Road, Kingston 5 and seized documents, which showed that he had married three Jamaican women between July and December last year.
