A woman from Mocha who allegedly unlawfully and maliciously wounded her partner was on Friday put on a bond to keep the peace for two years when she appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
It is alleged that on July 15 at Georgetown, Tricia Lindon of 76 Nelson Street, Mocha, East Bank Demerara, unlawfully and maliciously wounded Keron Halley.
When the charge was read and she was asked whether she would plead guilty or not guilty by the Acting Chief Magistrate, Lindon, a security guard, began crying and said nothing in her defence.
At this point the virtual complainant (VC) told the court that he no longer wished to pursue the matter.
The magistrate then entered a not guilty plea for the unrepresented Lindon and placed her on a bond to keep the peace for two years.
