-Ramsammy urges religious leaders as World AIDS Day launched Health Minister Dr Leslie Ramsammy said yesterday that Guyana’s HIV/AIDS progress continues to be hindered by persons living in denial of being at risk and he called on religious leaders to preach condom use.

An inmate of the Georgetown prison yesterday appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson for allegedly using an ice-pick to rob the would-be army officer, accused of forging a CXC certificate,  of a cell phone while they were at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court lock-ups.

Work on schedule at $1.2B public hospital in-patient facility
