The Netrockers football club continued their winning ways in this year’s Upper Demerara Football Association (UDFA) Stag Beer sponsored B-League by trashing Peacemakers four goals to nil when action continued on Wednesday at the Bayrock ground.
Thanks to a 24th minute strike from their top goal scorer Keon Bristol and one more from Ken Fraser in the 29th minute, Netrockers ended the first half leading two nil.
In the second half there was some positive play from the Peacemakers men but they were unable to find a good enough form which would give them a goal. However, Netrockers scored two more goals through Devon Kennedy in the 80th minute and Roderick Richards eight minutes later.
With the win, the Wisroc based team would stay on top of the seven team table after four games played so far.
Meanwhile in the race for the ‘Golden Boot’, Bristol and Hi-Stars goal hungry striker Tony ‘Spirit’ Adams are tied with three goals a piece.
Rodrick Richards of Netrockers and Hi-Stars’ Jason Monah and Wheatin Thom of Coomacka United are the other top scorers with two goals each.
