Dear Editor.
With reference to the Kaieteur News article dated Friday July 31, captioned ‘Guysuco without legal counsel as company secretary resigns,’ the corporation would like to reassure everyone that there will be no diminution in the quality of legal representation received as a result of the resignation of the company secretary. Guysuco has been using both in-house and external legal representation for many years and it will continue to utilise the services of the existing legal representatives.
Ms Ali, who has been the corporation’s company secretary for the last four years, had received a Government of Guyana scholarship via the Public Service Ministry. She has today confirmed that she will be taking up another state appointment.
The corporation is concerned at any article or statement, which could undermine the confidence of its many stakeholders.
Yours faithfully,
Alea McDonald
Senior Communications Officer
