On August 15, the Land of Many Waters will for the second time see professional world-rated wrestlers in action at the first ever ‘Guyana Wrestle Mania.’
The event dubbed the ‘Survivor Series’ will take place at the National Park which, according to a release from the promoters, Sound Proof Music and the Regional Wrestling Federation, will see clashes between some of the biggest stars in international wrestling and will consist of actual wrestling performances by several groups of wrestlers from the World Wrestling Entertainment Group (WWE).
The release stated also that some of the top pro-wrestlers expected are ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, ‘Diamond’ Dallas Page and the legendary The Iron Sheik, Scotty2hotty and Rikishi, just to name a few.
In addition, the promoters have sought to add a bit of entertainment by bringing in some of the Caribbean’s top artistes and entertainers, including Jamaica’s world-renowned Stone Love Movement and from Japan, the Mighty Crown.
Tickets for the event will cost $1,500 for children, adults $3,000 and VIPs $15,000.
Further details on the event will be released when the organisers stage a press conference on Saturday at the Grand Coastal Hotel.
