Amelia’s Ward United registered an important 3-1 victory against Coomacka United when play in the Upper Demerara Football Association (UDFA) Stag B-League continued on Tuesday at the Bayrock Ground.
The win takes the first division club to eight points, however, they must win their final game on Saturday and yet hope that Peacemakers are upset by Flamingo. That game was scheduled for yesterday. Striker Odinga Greene, registered a double against Coomacka United. Greene scored in the 25th minute and was on target again in the 49th minute. Coomacka United pulled one back from the penalty spot in the 60th minute from a Keron Daw strike after a handled ball was called by referee Rollin Tappin.
Amelia’s Ward continued to dominate the game and secured a 3-1 win after Andrew Lambert scored in the 75th minute.
