Enhancement works have commenced in Tucville, Agricola and Cummings Lodge with the help of residents.
According to a press release from the Mayor and City Council (M&CC) its team of engineers and technical officers has started the activities which include the scooping and grading of parapets, drainage works and other related activities. The work is funded by a government grant to the Georgetown municipality of which two cycles were received by the M&CC.
Meanwhile, other municipal services along with enhancement activities that the council will be undertaking include public health and environment services, public health and civic education, law-enforcement, engineering activities and the collection of taxes.
Persons are urged to cooperate with this effort to improve conditions in local societies. The release said citizens could assist the municipality to monitor the progress of the works in these sections and give feedback by calling its Public Relations Division on 225-2218, Mondays to Fridays between the hours of 8.30-3.30pm.
