Lights along the Vreed-en-Hoop to Parika road could be a reality in the near future as the Ministry of Public Works and Communications has invited bids from contractors to install these.
In an advertisement in yesterday’s edition of this newspaper, the Ministry said that funds have been provided under an Inter-American Development Bank loan for the Transport Infrastructure Rehabilita-tion-Programme – Road Safety Component. The lights will be installed along the West Coast Demerara public road from Vreed-en-Hoop up to Parika.
Meantime, the intersection at the entrance of the Diamond Housing Scheme is to be widened. The Ministry invited bids for this project, in an advertisement in the newspapers yesterday.
