Guyana’s Lionel D’Andrade registered another podium finish when he came in second after competing in another Kiss Bakery’s 5K in Trinidad and Tobago (T&T) over the weekend.
D’Andrade who has been doing excellently ran a time of 15.51s, second to T&T’s Richard Jones who ran 15.42s for the victory.
Jude Larode trailed Jones and D’Andrade for third with a time of 16.22s while young Fital Chavez finished fourth overall with a time of 17:00s out of the 150 starters.
D’Andrade told Stabroek Sports that he is using these competitions as preparation from the Benn Credit Union 5K on September 13 since it is a major event.
