Magistrate Priya Beharry remanded to prison a man accused of robbery with violence when he on Tuesday appeared to answer to the charge in the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
It is alleged that on April 10, at Georgetown, Samuel Pinder robbed Julius Ross of one gold chain valued $30,000 and at the said time or afterwards used personal violence on Ross. The defendant was not required to plead to the indictable charge of robbery with violence.
The virtual complainant did not attend court.
Pinder, who appeared unrepresented, was ordered to return to court on Tuesday.
