Dear Editor,
In my youth we played a game called ‘police and thief.’ As boys we would divide ourselves into two groups; one was the police and the other the thieves. The police were supposed to catch the thieves. When I read the stories surrounding the death of Dweive Kant Ramdas and the disappearance from police custody of part of the recovered loot, it seems now that ‘police and thief’ is alive and well today with murderers added – the other difference being that instead of three separate groups, we now have one group: the Joint Services.
Yours faithfully,
R. J. Eleazar
