The Rotary Club of Georgetown will hold its biannual Physically Challenged Day of Sports on September 27 at the Banks DIH Thirst Park facility.
Some 1,200 children from various special needs groups are expected to attend the one-day event which includes a series of track and novelty events.
Former President of the Rotaract Club Affeeze Khan in a statement said that he was proud to be involved in yet another year of these activities which he said are important to the physical and mental development of children with disabilities.
Over 20 special needs schools and care units from across the country have been selected to participate in an eventful day of egg and spoon races and sprints for the hearing and visually impaired, to name a few of the events.
