The Santa Aratack Village Council is hosting its annual village heritage day on Saturday, September 19 at Santa Mission.
In a press release the Region Three Regional Administration Office said Toshao Reynold Samuels plans to host activities including a jungle race, a piwari drinking competition, tug-o-war, singing, dancing and poetry recitals. Samuels said the winners from each category will be given prizes.
The Kamuni Creek, Demerara River village will also be holding month-long activities including a clean-up campaign, an inter-denomination church service, creek cleaning and a discussion on health, to mark the occasion.
