The post-mortem examination of Nigel Butters, the man found dead in the Stabroek Market urinal was inclusive, his relatives say.
According to Butters’ aunt, Gail Best, no signs of foul play showed up on his body, his heart showed no signs of coronary failure and examination of his kidneys also came out clean. She said that samples were removed for further testing.
Nigel Butters was found dead on Friday morning in the Stabroek Market urinal. He was found on the floor of the urinal after persons did not receive a response when they went to use the facility. Butters oversaw the market’s facility.
Gail Best, aunt of the deceased, said that she received a call around five in the morning and when she went down to the market her nephew was still lying on the floor of the urinal. She said she then took him to the hospital. Best said Butters’ death came as a shock since he left for work “good, good he wasn’t sick or anything”.
The 36-year-old man of 156 South Better Hope will be laid to rest on Thursday.
