A pump attendant at the Mohabir & Sons Gas Station, at Coburg Street New Amsterdam, was on Sunday evening, robbed of a sum of money by two men, one of whom was carrying a handgun.
According to a police release, the robbery occurred around 11 pm. Matthew Mursaline, 19, who lives at 53 Stanleytown, New Amsterdam was robbed of $ 20,000.
The release said that the victim was on duty at the gas station when the suspects approached him requesting to purchase gasoline. “When in the process of being served, one of them whipped out a gun and proceeded to rob him, then fled,” the police stated.
Police are continuing to investigate the matter.
