The Richard Ishmael Secondary School has recorded an overall pass rate percentage of 90.5% at grades 1-3 and 95% at grades 1-4 at the recently concluded Caribbean Secondary Examinations (CSEC).
In a press release the school said Sherron Persaud gained six grade ones and three grade twos; Simin Su obtained four grade ones including the agriculture science double award and five grade twos; Seon Barker obtained four grade ones, five grade twos and one grade three; Joel Parris gained five grade ones including the agriculture science double award, two grade twos and one grade three and Amrita Singh gained five grade ones, one grade two, two grade threes and one grade four.
The school said it obtained 100% passes in 17 out of 23 subjects. These results were recorded in Agriculture Science, Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Food and Nutrition, Home Economics Management, Integrated Science, Office Administration, Principles of Business, Social Studies, Spanish, Technical Drawing, Visual Arts, EPDM, Human and Social Biology, Electricity and Information Technology.
The release also said 75 from 79 students who wrote the exams obtained five and more subjects at grades 1-3. The principal and deputy head extend congratulations to the students and teachers for their hard work.
