Good theme for GuyExpo 2009

Dear Editor,
Guyana is slated to host GuyExpo 2009 at the National Exhibition Centre under the theme, ‘Promoting Business in a Low Carbon Environment’ from October 1-6.  With Guyana progressing towards the Low Carbon Development Strategy, it was a very good initiative to use such development as the theme for an internationally recognized event. Consequently, this will assist in making the public, locally, regionally and internationally, aware of the Low Carbon Development Strategy and the many benefits that surround it for the economy and our immense expanse of forest. In this regard, I would like to commend the GuyExpo Planning Committee on the theme choice and their efforts in promoting the LCDS as I amply support it and realize that moving in that direction holds significant merits for this country.
