Tomorrow night the Promenade Gardens will come alive when what is described as Guyana’s “one-of-a-kind star studded event” in the name of Genesis Fashion Rhythm II gets underway.
Local designers will showcase some of their more elegant and racy pieces. But it is not only about the designers and models as patrons would also be treated to entertainment from the cream of the crop of Guyana’s artistes.
“There is a new breed of enviously attractive male and female models among a daring lot of veterans getting ready to share a three-dimensional catwalk with Guyana’s top entertainment celebrities,” the co-coordinators of the event said in a press release.
The local designers are in the process of putting their finishing touches to their pieces which will form a collection of exquisite outfits for Accolade Music Awards on November 21, 2009.
The fashion extravaganza is said to be a pre-event of Accolade Music Awards of Guyana presenting “numerous options to fashion fanatics craving for sassy and enticing designer clothing” to wear at the Accolade event.
In addition, Jumo Primo, Tennecia De Freitas, Trinicia Esseboom, Adrian Dutchin, Timeka Marshall, Gialliani, Charmaine Blackman, Melissa ‘Vanilla’ Roberts, Michelle ‘Big Red’ King , Shelly G, JB, Rawle Ferguson, Kerwyn Bollers, Ossie Nedd, B52, Passion, Jessica Xavier, Chris-like Soldiers and Tiffany Isaacs, among a few other surprise acts will team up to entertain patrons.
“The participation of celebrity entertainers in a fashion event has a unique fascination as they demonstrate bravery and versatility, switching roles from musical stage performances to modelling on the catwalk,” the co-coordinators said.
