In the observance of its annual fire prevention week, the Guyana Fire Service has planned a number of activities beginning on October 4 and ending on October 10.
The activities will commence with a church service at 09:00 hrs at the Complex of the Ministry of Culture Youth and Sports, Carifesta Avenue Georgetown on October 4.
The week-long celebrations include several exhibitions. From October 5 to 7, school children will be exposed to exhibits at the Uitvlugt, Diamond and Lusignan Community Centres grounds respectively from 10:00 hrs to 14:00 hours.
On October 8 at the National Park, again, school children will benefit from an exhibition.
Meanwhile, on Friday October 10, members of the public will be given the opportunity to view an exhibition at the Central Fire Station located at 11 ‘A’ Water Street Stabroek Georgetown.
