The Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) concluded a five-day Customs-house Broker Training Workshop last Friday to improve service to importers and exporters. In a press statement, GRA said the workshop, which commenced on September 14, saw participants from all walks of life and various age groups.
The workshop, according to the GRA release, was implemented to train and educate potential customs-house brokers and to improve and enhance the customs service provided to the nation by GRA. Importers and exporters will be the beneficiaries since the service provided to them, GRA said, will be of a higher standard.
Persons desirous of becoming licensed customs-house brokers, the release advised, must be 18 years and over and knowledgeable of the customs laws, the associated laws, regulations and procedures they entail.
