The Ministry of Housing and Water, through Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI), will launch a massive customer service programme titled ‘Camp Resolution,’ involving visits by GWI teams to several locations across Guyana.
The camp will serve as a mobile GWI office, offering customers all the services they expect from GWI, including leak repair, dealing with billing queries, bill payments and the installation of new service connections, the GWI said in a news release on Friday.
GWI’s ‘Camp Resolution’ will commence on Saturday simultaneously at Charity, Adventure and Supenaam on the Essequibo Coast and the GWI team will deal with complaints between 9 am and 3 pm. Customers are asked to present all relevant documents including water bills.
Customers will have the opportunity to interact with Minister of Housing and Water Irfaan Ali, as well as GWI senior officials stationed at strategic locations within communities, including schools and community centres.
GWI Chief Executive Yuri Chandisingh was quoted as saying, “Our ‘Camp’ will be equipped with field service investigators, accounts maintenance and customer services staff and our leakage repair teams. This will allow us to respond to any customer complaint presented and our team will ensure that all complaints are rectified immediately. Customers unable to visit our offices can make bill payments at the ‘Camp’ as well.”
Full details of all the ‘Camp Resolution’ locations will be published in the press and GWI’s corporate website: www.gwiguyana. com.
Customers are also invited to contact GWI’s Public Relations Department on 225-0477 to enquire when the ‘Camp’ will be visiting their community.
