Enterprise Busta Sports Club beat Golden Grove in an abbreviated match by 52 runs in the East Coast President’s Cup limited-overs championship over the weekend.
In a match reduced to 30 overs, the home team amassed 198 for the loss of four wickets.
Arif Habib top scored with 86 while Parmanand Dindyal made an undefeated 81 as the Golden Grove bowlers struggled.
Mortimer King was the most economical bowler with 2-22 from five overs while Karamo Holder, who took some stick, had figures of 2-42 from his five overs.
In reply six of Golden Grove’s batsmen failed to reach double figures.
Holder, though, scored 53, Ishah Gardner 41 and Winston London, 22 as Golden Grove reached 147-8 before the overs expired.
Devindra Persaud took two wickets while Raja Pooran, Chatterpaul Singh and Videsh Lall had a wicket apiece.
