The Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI) is investigating the cause of the disruption of water supply to central Mahaicony, Region Five.
In a press release GWI Chief Executive Yuri Chandisingh said, “Teams from our Divisional Office and our Capital Investment and Planning Department (CIPD) have been engaged in the investigation following reports of the disruption.”
Central Mahaicony and surrounding areas had last experienced water disruption in June and a pump with a higher capacity was installed to serve areas such as Zeskendren, Yorkshire Hill and Farm, the release said. It also advised affected residents to contact the Customer Service Call Centre on telephone number 227-8701.
