Georgetown thanks to 75th minute goal from striker’ Charmaine Warde, defeated Bartica one nil to pick up their second win in as many matches when the league continued Sunday last in Bartica.
After playing to a goalless first half, the city ladies who had all the chances in the game final found the net after Warde picked up a ball in the 18 yard box after a defensive error and she made no mistake on the far post from an acute angle.
The city gals will head to the interior this Sunday where they will clash with tournament favourites and point leaders Lethem.
The indigenous ladies are yet to taste defeat and have shown that they are a force to reckon with by easily putting their opponents aside in their first three games.
