Unicomer Guyana Limited, known countrywide as COURTS Guyana Limited, last evening unveiled the renovations made to its main branch in Georgetown as part of a drive to provide “five star customer services” to Guyanese.
Prime Minister Samuel Hinds last evening congratulated the company on this new achievement and noted that COURTS was the company which reintroduced hire purchase to Guyana 16 years ago.
The company’s main branch and display centre located at Main Street, Georgetown has been renovated over the last few weeks and now sports a modern open floor layout. Lester Alvis, COURTS Country Manager, said last evening that the renovations cost “tens of millions of dollars”.
During his speech Alvis noted that the new layout and re-launching of the store is aimed at providing ultimate customer satisfaction. The enhanced shopping experience now available at COURTS, he said, includes the latest flat panel televisions where customers will be given a chance to experience the true capability of Blu Ray technology. An upgraded air conditioning system has also been added for the comfort of customers.
“This investment,” Alvis stated, “valued at tens of millions of dollars is a clear demonstration of our confidence in the Guyana economy.”
COURTS, Alvis promised, will live up to its brand of “Adding better value”. A new marketing slogan “Bringing Value Home” along with a television ad, bound to attract customers, were also launched last evening.
The Prime Minister aided by COURTS management unveiled the plaque officially opening the improved main branch last evening. COURTS is inviting customers “to come and to experience”.
