As police continue their investigation into the stabbing death of Albouystown resident Marvin Boston, the mother of his two alleged assailants has been taken into custody.
A relative of Boston told Stabroek News that the woman was taken into custody sometime on Saturday evening and remains in custody along with her two sons.
Boston was stabbed several times about his body on Saturday morning after he attempted to break up a fight between a relative and the two men. The two brothers are said to be feared in the area and they stormed Boston’s home and threw out a challenge for a fight with a relative of Boston. Boston got involved later in an attempt to stop the fight when he was stabbed.
The two families living at 138 King Edward Street have had an ongoing feud which ended up at the police station last week where a truce was made between the two sides.
After the stabbing, Boston was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he died while his alleged assailants had also gone there for treatment and were promptly arrested by the police. The male relative of Boston was also arrested as one of the brothers alleged he was injured by him.
Relatives yesterday said there had been no further incidents between the two families since the two troublemakers have been arrested.
A post-mortem is expected to be performed on Boston’s body today.
