A collision between two vehicles on the Ogle, East Coast Demerara highway last evening saw three persons taken to the hospital for check-ups.
Sheik Yaseen said that his 25-year-old son, Sadick Yaseen was heading to the city at about 7 pm last evening when the incident occurred. He stated that Sadick’s car, PHH 7163 was heading west while the other vehicle was turning south into the Ogle Airport road. He stated that that the car that his son was driving clipped the back of the other vehicle and ended up in the nearby trench.
He told this newspaper that Sadick at the time was dropping two friends to the city.
He had left Better Hope. No one was badly injured this newspaper was told. However, Sadick complained of chest pains and was taken to the hospital for a check-up.
Police took the other vehicle to the station. This newspaper was told that the car that Sadick was driving did not belong to him and the matter was already “settled”.
